Tyler
Tyler McLaughlin’s music is subtle but powerful. He has native roots in the Midwest, yet his move to Texas and introduction to its culture gave birth to an eclectic sound and lyrical innocence within his music throughout the years. His words are moving and powerful, with rhythms …you can’t help but tap your foot to. He has epitomized the sing-a-long feel through his music; capturing a lil’ bit of soul, folk and country with every note played. Tyler has his own distinct style of music to enjoy, and that music you cant afford to miss – he calls it…“Soulkry”.

In the beginning, Tyler began developing a certain eclectic style of music, which has metamorphasized with him into present day. Through life, love, friendship, devotion, pain, happiness and maturity Tyler has endured a dynamic change in his personality; ultimately, this has evolved within his music as well. From an adolescent boy being introduced to instruments, he picked up the piano, guitar, and mandolin; although, not effortlessly his talent was indisputable. Life took Tyler on many journeys and presented him with endless challenges, which he overcame, learned from, and became the musician he is today.
Born in Ohio, Tyler moved Central Texas as a baby; did a little time in New Mexico & the Carolina’s then ended up back in Central Texas where he has lived most of his adult life. With so many experiences in his life, his music dwells in the innocence that resides in the wonderment of life and learning. His music pulls on the heartstrings, is feel-good, and about real life that everyman can empathize with. Through the rolling hills of N.C., to the peaks of Big Bend, and back to the Central Texas harmony where he now calls home, Tyler has grown with his surroundings, and captured the beautiful emotion this life has to offer to us all. With every note in his perfectly orchestrated melodies, he reminds us of home, of life, of love and the undeniable presence of joy in everything this world has to offer. His love for family and friends is constructed eloquently in his sharp rhythms and choruses. As if he were an old soul with wisdom and understanding years beyond his age…his music hits you, and you feel his emotion.
Pathos is the great communicator, whether it be through art, literature, or music, which he has captured amazingly with introspective genius. From the first note of his songs, to the silent breaks he keeps you holding your breath, anticipating to feel what is next. His ability to embody raw passion through his music has given him an ability that is intangible, yet so real, you cant help but find your self in awe with each note produced in his songs. Not only is he a musician, he is an artist, and a poet; yet another outlet for his exceptional talent. If you are seeking something real, something true, you need look no further.
