Plenty years ago many people died

Yesterday a little brown guy flew his red kite up in the dark sky

A bluebird crashed into a red thing up on a string right where he flew

And at that very moment when the bluebird hit the ground

well the boy went running to it and the Earth made a sound

And one day the fault-line shifted and those walls came crumbling down

But the old man stopped and lifted a beam so those ten could get around

It went tumble crumble crunch the Earth it fell apart

But those ten were topside and alive because of that old man’s good heart

Over time that man turned to soil and years later the earth began to boil

And then one day she did explode and she spit him with her load

His ashes fell onto the land and the rain soon mixed him up into the sand

Then from him and a seed grew a tree and together they lived & bound gracefully

One fed the other like a child from its mother

They grew tall, they lived long, and they nurtured one another

They realized that they'd become a mulberry tree

And that they were the living home of a bluebird family

And those bluebirds lived off that mulberry tree

That that old man helped make when he died so courageously

And his son had a son who had a son of his own

who had a son that had a son, who built a happy home

And in that home there was a little guy

and he loved to fly his kite all up through the sky
